Alpha course has become the way to explore the meaning of life around the
world. Alpha for ESOL provides a slower paced version of the course
with simplified English designed for people where English is not their first
language.
What's Alpha?

- a short 10-week course discussing questions you have about life and faith
- a no pressure atmosphere where you can discuss your views with other adults like you
- the ability to just listen or express your views - it's up to you
- a no cost or commitment option to explore important issues often unsafe to discuss
The Alpha course is now run in over 30,000 locations around the world each year in over 160 countries.
Making it Better for ESOL:
While
the course has become incredibly popular, guest taking the course who were not
native English speakers wanted some changes to make the experience easier and
more enjoyable. The Alpha for ESOL course provides the pace, English level
and environment for you.
This course is offered over a longer period to allow guests to listen and discuss the topics at a relaxed pace. The topics are presented and discussed in simple English. The course speakers are trained to talk in a low pressure and sensitive way as well as help create an interesting discussion. Alpha for ESOL is a 20-week course for intermediate to advanced level English speakers. However, Alpha for ESOL can be a 10-week course, but for advanced level English speakers only.
